...the great Misam created the CPIgloo Forums at 8:46pm GMT.

Ten years have passed since the inception of this great forum, and what do we have to show for it? 53000+ posts spread over at least 2700 topics, with the old guard occasionally coming on to see if anything has miraculously changed, or to just check in on old friends that they spuriously know from a 10 year old Club Penguin forum.

I joined this forum about a week after it was created, when I would have been 10 years old (and a lot of our members would have been similar ages), in primary school with nothing better to do but play Club Penguin and talk to like-minded weirdos on the internet. Ten years later, I'm now 20, at university, and this forum has been around for 50% of my lifetime. It's nice to look back on old posts and see my life somewhat documented from 10 years ago until now.

And as I mentioned when I posted about …

Eight Years

Thu Mar 03, 2016 11:51 pm by Dylan

Bonsoir mes amis,

Eight years have passed since the great Misam created this majestic forum, and we continue to stride forward, going strength to strength. Whilst we've been distracted by our forum's successful year, maybe you've all forgotten some of the major events of the past twelve months. Consequently, I have summed up a nice list which describes these...

Ahem...,

  • ISIS destroys ancient Iraqi cities including Nimrud

  • Co-Pilot Andreas Lubitz intentionally crash a Germanwings plane into the French Alps killing 150 people

  • Magnitude 7.8 earthquake strikes Nepal

  • The WHO declares that rubella has been eradicated from the Americas

  • Ireland votes to legalise gay marriage

  • Sepp Blatter resigns from FIFA after an FBI corruption case

  • NASA's New Horizons becomes the first spacecraft to fly past Pluto

  • Cuba and the US reinstate diplomatic relations

  • Debris from flight MH370 found on …

Seven Years

Sun Mar 08, 2015 12:02 am by Dylan

Hello everyone,

Once again, it is time for me to do my annual announcement that yet another (SEVENTH!!) anniversary has been and passed, and has not been celebrated in as meaningful and prosperous manner as it deserves(!). Last time, I wrote a list of events that have taken place since the initiation of the forum, so I thought I'd update the list slightly since the forum's anniversary overshadows a lot of them...

Here goes;

  • Last time I posted, the population was 7,178,684,886. It is now 7,257,734,835

  • The worst Ebola outbreak in recorded history begins in West Africa, infecting 25,000 people and killing 10,000

  • Russia formally annexes Crimea which is then disputed by a United Nations General Assembly resolution which recognises Crimea as being within Ukrainian borders

  • 276 girls are abducted and held hostage from a school in Nigeria

  • Korean ferry MV Sewol capsizes killing 304 …

Announcement #1 - 10th April 2012 - Abolishment of the Hierarchy

Tue Apr 10, 2012 1:31 am by Dylan

Thanks to the wonderful Misam for coming back to admin us all again, I decided that we should have a long term abolishment of the hierarchy meaning that we don't just have one progressive leader - especially since only three people have posted in the last three weeks.
